The Ravens are reportedly bringing in a new quarterback to backup Lamar Jackson.
Cooper Rush, who has been with the Dallas Cowboys for most of the last eight seasons, has agreed to a deal with Baltimore, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Rush reportedly agreed to a two-year, $6.2 million deal that is incentive laden.
The 31-year-old Rush has extensive NFL experience, having appeared in 38 games with 14 starts since he joined the Cowboys as an undrafted rookie in 2017. For his career, Rush has completed 330 of 554 passes (60.7%) for 3,463 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.
Last season, Rush started eight games for the Cowboys after Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending hamstring injury. Dallas went 4-4 during Rush's starts and he ended the season completing 187 of 308 passes (60.7%) for 1,844 yards and 12 touchdowns with five interceptions.
The Ravens were expected to sign or draft a backup quarterback this offseason. Veteran Josh Johnson, who was Jackson's backup last season, is a free agent and will turn 39 years old in May. Devin Leary, who was a rookie last season, spent 2024 as the No. 3 quarterback and did not see season action during the regular season.
