The Ravens have agreed to terms with veteran linebacker and special teams standout Jake Hummel on a one-year deal, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

Hummel had eight special teams tackles for the Los Angeles Rams in 2024 and blocked a punt that led to a touchdown.

The 26-year-old Hummel, who played in every game for Los Angeles last season, spent three years with the Rams after being undrafted in 2022 out of Iowa State and making their 53-man roster.

Two veterans who played prominent roles for Baltimore last season on special teams have reportedly departed in free agency: linebackers Malik Harrison (Pittsburgh Steelers) and Chris Board (New York Giants). Hummel played 77% of the Rams' special teams snaps last season and 80% in 2023.

The Ravens also needed more depth at linebacker behind Roquan Smith and Trenton Simpson. Hummel played 74 defensive snaps last season and finished with a career-high 17 tackles.
