DeAndre Hopkins' Touchdowns Prediction for His Trio With Lamar Jackson And Derrick Henry

When DeAndre Hopkins posed the question five years ago pondering how many touchdowns a trio of himself, Lamar Jackson, and Derrick Henry would score, he didn't think he'd ever get an answer.

"I honestly did not think that was a possibility," Hopkins said of joining forces with two other NFL megastars.

But after arriving Friday afternoon in Baltimore to sign his reported one-year contract, Hopkins was posed the question himself.

"Hopefully enough to win a lot of games. To win the games we need to win," Hopkins said. "I don't have a number, but hopefully more than a little bit."

Last season, Jackson threw 41 touchdown passes (tied for the second-most in the NFL) and ran for another four. Henry was tied for the league lead with 16 rushing touchdowns and caught two more. Hopkins hauled in five touchdowns between the Titans and Chiefs.

How many the trio can put up together remains to be seen, but joining forces with Jackson and Henry was certainly a big reason why Hopkins chose to come to Baltimore.

Hopkins said he's admired Jackson's game since he watched him nearly knock off his eventual national champion Clemson Tigers in 2016, when Jackson was in the midst of his Heisman Trophy season at Louisville. The two spoke on the phone this week after Hopkins agreed to terms with the Ravens.

"Not really much needed to be said. Just let's get to work," Hopkins said.

Hopkins and Henry were teammates on the Tennessee Titans in 2023 and they've trained together during previous offseasons. They spoke briefly Friday morning, as both players got in workouts -- Henry in Dallas and Hopkins in their new shared football home.

"Derrick is like family. Derrick and I have a long relationship," Hopkins said. "He really didn't say too much, but that's Derrick. He's grinding."
