Former Ravens defensive end Brent Urban has signed with the Tennessee Titans, after spending his first five NFL seasons in Baltimore.

The 27-year-old Urban is coming off a solid season, starting all 16 games for the Ravens last year and finishing with a career-high 27 tackles. Urban did not receive strong interest during the first wave of free agency but visited the Titans earlier this month and agreed to terms Friday. In Tennessee, Urban will be reunited with former Ravens Defensive Coordinator Dean Pees who is now the Titans' coordinator.

Urban was a fourth-round draft pick by the Ravens in 2014, after playing his college football at Virginia. He thanked the Ravens on Twitter for giving him an NFL opportunity.

The Ravens could receive a fourth-round compensatory draft pick next year in exchange for losing Urban, depending upon how much his contract is worth. Despite the loss of Urban, the Ravens feel good about their defensive line rotation led by Brandon Williams, Michael Pierce, and Chris Wormley, and they could add another defensive lineman before the draft ends Saturday.

Urban's departure leaves the Ravens with just two unrestricted free agents – running back Javorius Allen and tight end Maxx Williams.
