Kyle Van Noy hopes to play Week 2 against the Raiders after suffering a fractured orbital bone in the season-opener against the Chiefs.
The veteran outside linebacker returned to practice Friday and hoped to feel even better by Sunday's kickoff.
"I'm feeling good, feeling optimistic, I still have two days," Van Noy said. "Trying to do everything I can. I'm just grateful for the specialists I have and the doctors that have treated me."
Van Noy said he would wear a visor if he played Sunday and was excited that he had improved enough to have a chance to play.
He said he had nothing more to say on the medical care he received from doctors at Arrowhead Stadium, which he claimed was delayed and "unprofessional."
Per ESPN, NFLPA Executive Director Lloyd Howell visited the Ravens' team facility this week, saying medical treatment should be provided "as quickly as possible."
"I think this was an unfortunate situation where that did not occur," Howell said. "Thank God for Kyle's situation [that] it wasn't worse. But here we are with the first game of the season, we got many more games to play. We just can't have that."
Van Noy is putting it behind him now.
"I'm just focused on the Raiders, excited to potentially play, to be back out there with my teammates today," Van Noy said. "I thought today was a great practice. Looking forward to the next 48 hours."
Daniel Faalele Has Gotten Advice From Kevin Zeitler
Daniel Faalele is getting help from a former teammate as he continues making the transition from tackle to guard.
Kevin Zeitler reached out to Faalele via text messages after he saw Faalele start at right guard during Baltimore's preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles. Zeitler was the Ravens' right guard the past three seasons (2021-23) before signing with the Detroit Lions in free agency.
"Using him as a resource has been good for me," Faalele said. "Just technique, how he approaches different blocks, hand placement, all the little details that he's really detailed on. I appreciate Zeit a lot."
Faalele made his first start at right guard Week 1 and felt his performance improved as the game progressed. However, he wasn't satisfied and hopes to take another step forward against the Raiders.
"I felt like there's some good things I did and some bad things that I've got to work on," Faalele said. "Overall, I think it was a good first day out.
"You've just got to trust the process, trust the coaching, learn from other players that have played the position and work on something each day to work towards reaching my potential."
Zay Flowers Calls Davante Adams the GOAT
Davante Adams called Lamar Jackson the “best ball-carrier ever” this week and the complements keep flying.
On Friday, wide receiver Zay Flowers said Adams is the GOAT wide receiver.
"He's the GOAT for sure," said Flowers, who said he's been watching Adams for a long time.
"I tried to steal some of his moves, but I'm not as tall. I just use it in my own way. I used to watch him a lot, try to transfer some of his moves to my game. I thought he was the best receiver in the league for the last five, six years because nobody can match his movement, nobody can match what he can do."
Rashod Bateman said this week that he's excited to share the field with Adams, who has been a long-distance mentor to Bateman for the past couple years.
The Ravens defense has been complimentary of the Raiders wide receiver too, but they are more focused on the tough task of slowing him down. Adams has topped 1,100 receiving yards each of the past four seasons.
"It's a matchup I'm definitely looking forward to," cornerback Brandon Stephens said on “The Lounge” podcast. "I think we all are."

David Ojabo Plans to Build Off Week 1 Performance
After getting his first sack of the season in Week 1, outside linebacker David Ojabo is eager to build momentum. Plagued by injuries during his first two seasons, Ojabo has only played six games for the Ravens while spending much of his time rehabbing.
He feels ready to display his talent and looks forward to getting into a weekly rhythm as the season progresses.
"It's so great to get back on the field and in a routine," Ojabo said. "I'm keeping God first, keeping things in perspective.
"All credit to Coach Z.O. (Defensive Coordinator Zach Orr) for his great calls, putting us all in position to make plays. I'm just trying to take advantage. The Raiders play hard, they play to the whistle, they're a well-coached team. We have to make sure we bring it to them with our physicality, speed and effort."
