Hope Mark Ingram II got rest during the early part of the Ravens' bye, because it might be hard to come by now.
Ingram and his wife, Chelsea Peltin-Brown, welcomed baby girl Mayla into the world Sunday morning – and it was quite a surprise.
They of course planned to have the baby in Baltimore, and were confident enough that she wasn't coming that the family traveled to Alabama for the 10-year anniversary of the 2009 Alabama national championship team.
That's also the year when Ingram won the Heisman Trophy, so that would have been tough to miss.
Welp, babies sometimes have other plans. Mayla's first words may be "Roll Tide."
"Almost a 1,000 miles away from where we were supposed to give birth, our little 'Bama Belle' had a little celebration planned of her own as she entered the world in a city that is special in so many ways," Peltin-Brown wrote on Instagram.
It's the couple's fourth child and they're all young. Their third child, Mark Valentino Ingram II, was born in March of 2018. They also have two other little girls, Myla and Mila.
Congrats to the whole family, and what a wild weekend!
