Season in Review

The Ravens counted on two young wide receivers to lead the room, and they delivered with breakout seasons.

Flowers had a team-high 74 catches, topped 1,000 yards for the first time (1,059), and became the first wide receiver drafted by the Ravens to make the Pro Bowl. A knee injury suffered in Week 18 was a cruel blow for Flowers and forced him to miss both playoff games. However, Flowers took his game to another level and established himself as a receiver with a bright future.

Bateman had a career-high nine touchdown catches and 756 yards receiving, while remaining healthy for a second straight year. An excellent route runner with top-end speed, Bateman signed a contract extension before the 2024 season and rewarded the Ravens with his most productive campaign.

"I'm very proud of Rashod Bateman," General Manager Eric DeCosta said at the end of the season. "This guy's had some adversity with injuries along the way that he's overcome – some serious injuries and some bad luck. I think he's taken some criticism, and he came back this year with a vengeance.

"I think he's just getting started; I really do. He's a great person, and he works hard. I think his future's very bright, and I can't wait to see what he looks like next year."

What to Watch This Offseason

The Ravens need to address their depth behind Flowers and Bateman.

Re-signing Wallace is a possibility. He made some big plays for the Ravens while also contributing on special teams. Walker will get a chance to earn more reps after playing sparingly as a rookie, and his lone catch in 2024 went for a touchdown.

Baltimore may also pursue a wide receiver via free agency, trade, or the draft. The list of pending free agents at the position includes Amari Cooper, Stefon Diggs, Darius Slayton, Keenan Allen, and DeAndre Hopkins, and the Rams reportedly plan to trade Cooper Kupp.

DeCosta has selected eight wide receivers since his first draft as general manager in 2019. That suggests he won't be averse to selecting another, especially with the Ravens projected to have 11 picks.
