The Ravens will have three new starters on the offensive line this season, and one of them could be the biggest in the league at his position.

Daniel Faalele, who is 6-foot-8 and 380 pounds, has seen time at right guard during training camp. He's played tackle through his first two seasons, but after Tuesday's practice Head Coach John Harbaugh said the Ravens are going to give him a look at guard.

"We're going to give it a shot and see how it looks," Harbaugh said. "Daniel has very good feet for his size. He's a big man, but he can move his feet; he can also bend and create leverage."

Faalele is one of the biggest players in the NFL, and almost every lineman around his size plays tackle. He'll get reps at right tackle as well, but Baltimore is looking to get that size on the field in some capacity.

"When you've got that kind of size when you're coming off the ball and some of those combination blocks, we feel like he's got a chance with Tyler [Linderbaum] to move people in there," Harbaugh said.

"He keeps working on using his hands. [When] things happen quicker, you have to get your hands up quicker, you have to get your hands on people a little quicker – he's working on that part of it, too – so we'll see how he adapts."

With both guard spots and right tackle still open, the Ravens are moving players all over, looking for the best fits. Harbaugh noted that veteran Patrick Mekari is mostly at right tackle for now but will also see snaps as the backup center.

"They'll work their primary spots or secondary spot; some guys work both guards, some guys stay on the left side," Harbaugh said. "[For] different guys, [we have] different situations."

John Harbaugh Gives an Update on Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson has missed the first three full-team practices of training camp as he's out with an illness. After Tuesday's practice, Harbaugh provided an update on the two-time MVP.

"I'm sure he's closer to getting out there than he was," Harbaugh said. "It's just a matter of when the doctors are going to clear him, and he's going to feel good enough."

Marlon Humphrey Has Slimmed Down

After playing the last few seasons at 200 pounds, Marlon Humphrey is now around 190. Humphrey said that when he tore his pec in late 2021, he gained some "grown-man weight," but he knows football is a "young man's game," so he slimmed down.

"It was kind of by design. I looked at the past, I looked at my better seasons, and I was a little bit lighter those years, so I decided to get around a little bit lower of a weight," Humphrey said. "I've been feeling [and] moving pretty well at it, so we'll kind of see how it wiggles around with training camp.

"I've really been talking advantage of Sarah [Snyder], our [director of sports nutrition]. I've been really trying to lean on the resources the Ravens offer, do things the right way instead of my usual, which is just don't eat – which is not the best route – so I've really, really been trying to slim up a little bit and go with the plan that she's put out for me."

Humphrey said he has long thought that he will eventually transition to safety later in his career but hasn't had discussions with coaches about that yet. He is preparing to play outside and slot cornerback this season.

John Harbaugh is Reigning in Odafe Oweh

Odafe Oweh has consistently been in the backfield during offseason practices and Day 3 of training camp was no different. But on Tuesday Harbaugh had to pull him aside to make sure everyone stays healthy.

"I had to pull the reigns in on him a little bit," Harbaugh said. "He understands, because we have to stay away from the quarterback as much as possible. We don't want to have any car crashes out there, but he's doing a great job. He's bringing it; he's pretty much been in the backfield every play, so we appreciate it."
