The Ravens overtook the rival Pittsburgh Steelers down the stretch to win the AFC North. Now Baltimore's division rival will come to M&T Bank Stadium in the Wild Card round on Saturday at 8 p.m. The game will be on Prime Video.
The Ravens and Steelers have met four times in the playoffs, but this will be the first time in Baltimore. Their last meeting was in the 2014 Wild-Card round, a 30-17 win for the Ravens.
The No. 3-seed Ravens (12-5) enter the Wild-Card round riding a four-game winning streak. The No. 6-seeded Steelers (10-7) are on a four-game losing streak.
The Steelers' Week 18 loss to the Bengals, combined with the Los Angeles Chargers' win over the Las Vegas Raiders in their regular-season finale Sunday, dropped the Steelers to the No. 6 seed.
The No. 5-seed Chargers and Head Coach Jim Harbaugh will head to Houston to take on the No. 4-seed Texans on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Rounding out the Wild Card round in the AFC, the No. 7-seed Denver Broncos visit the No. 2-seed Buffalo Bills on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Ravens beat the Steelers, 34-17, at M&T Bank Stadium on Dec. 21, behind a dramatic fourth-quarter pick-six by cornerback Marlon Humphrey. Prior to that, however, the Steelers had won eight of the last nine meetings between the adversaries.
While it would take a long time to even the series history between the two teams, a playoff win for Baltimore would go a long way.
Pittsburgh's offense stumbled down the stretch this season. They haven't scored more than 17 points in any of their past four games. Russell Wilson has averaged 175 yards passing yards per game and thrown four touchdowns to two interceptions over that span.
The Steelers defense held the Bengals to 19 points in the regular-season finale and has gotten healthier since coming to Baltimore last month.
Lamar Jackson threw for 207 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the team's last meeting, quieting some of the talk that the Steelers give him problems. Now he has a chance to further stiff-arm those claims with a playoff win.
"I'm focused on the Wild Card game; I'm not going [to] lie to you," Jackson said after Saturday night's AFC North-clinching win. "I'm cool [with] what's going on today. I'm cool, don't get me wrong, but my mind [is] on something else."
