The Eagles don't play in Baltimore until next week, but the Ravens are already on their mind.
In Philadelphia's "Sunday Night Football" win, quarterback Jalen Hurts was captured on a hot mic yelling "Ronnie Stanley" multiple times as an audible. The first-and-goal play went for just two yards, but it caught the attention of Baltimore – and the nation.
Even the commentators were surprised to hear Stanley's name.
"Ronnie Stanley?" NBC's Mike Tirico said. "What a shoutout. Star longtime Raven offensive tackle."
The curious signal/audible had fans around the NFL wondering what Stanley had to do with the play, which was a Saquon Barkley run up the middle. Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata let his man rush up field before pushing him around the back. Tight end C.J. Uzomah came across the formation and up the middle for the lead block.
Sam Schwartzstein, an analytics expert for Next Gen Stats, had an intricate theory.
Baltimore's standout left tackle will take that same SoFi Stadium field for "Monday Night Football" as the Ravens face the Los Angeles Chargers, and a week later he will face those "Ronnie Stanley" Eagles.
