One thing we've learned about new Ravens safety Tony Jefferson is that he's a big gamer.
Jefferson checked himself out in different teams' Madden uniforms when deciding where he was going to sign. He hurriedly packed his gaming system with him when coming to Baltimore to sign his contract.
So once Ravens minicamp and the offseason program ended Friday, Jefferson promptly visited EA Sports' development studio (EA Tiburon) just outside of Orlando, Fla.
What was he doing there exactly? Not sure. Maybe he was planting some seeds on what his player rating should be. Either way, Jefferson played with the Ravens and was, not surprisingly, impressed by the defense.
Here's an insider look at his visit courtesy of EA Sports Producer Erika Esola-Imburgio:
By the way, Jefferson talked about the whole using Madden-to-pick-his-team thing on "The Lounge" podcast last week. Jefferson said the Ravens' all-black uniforms are "fire," but that's not why he's in Baltimore.
"To set the record straight, obviously that wasn't really the reason. That was just a little promo for Madden," Jefferson joked.
"I sent it to [Eric] Weddle when we were talking in the offseason. I sent it to him just playing around. He was like, 'Bro, you look nice!' The funny thing is I put No. 23 too."
