The Caw: Justin Tucker Does Matthew McConaughey Commercial Spoof

Ravens kicker Justin Tucker knows actor Matthew McConaughey, as both are Texas boys.

So leave it to Tucker to pull off the perfect spoof of McConaughey's well-known Lincoln commercial.

Tucker, the man behind a few other sweet commercials including one for Dr. Pepper, shot his spoof called "Driving with Both Feet" for Carbiz. The commercial will be airing soon in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The idea came when Tucker was enjoying a five-pound lobster at Thames Street Oyster House in Fells Point with Carbiz CEO and Vice President Evan Berney and Dan Kallaugher of Radcliffe Jewelers. They were kicking around ideas on what the next Carbiz commercial should look like.

"It was right around that time when all those Lincoln commercials were blowing up the TV with Matthew McConaughey just driving around contemplating the most deep, intense things about life," Tucker said. "We were like, 'Why don't we just do that?!'"

Tucker has chatted it up with McConaughey a couple times in Austin, Texas at a fundraising party for children thrown by country music singer Jack Ingram and former Texas University Head Coach Mack Brown.

"He's such an icon," Tucker said. "You want to talk about being star struck. That doesn't really happen for me very often, but with him I was like, 'This is pretty cool.'"

Tucker is known for his impersonations, so why not pick McConaughey?

"I don't know if it's one of my better [impersonations] or worst ones, but it's one of my favorite ones," Tucker said. "I could probably do a better one than I threw out there in the commercial. We had a good time with it though. We let loose with it and had some fun."
