Ray, you know I have mad respect. You can do pretty much anything you want in retirement.
But rapping probably should not be one of those things.
Ray Lewis released a teaser of his new rap, "Can You Stand The Rain," on Instagram last night. Give a listen:
From what I hear so far, I like Ray's message. You can't hate on a man singing to his momma.
When I talked to Ray about his new book, "I Feel Like Going On," (which you should totally buy!) he talked about how lyrics in today's rap songs are to the detriment of our youth. I'll sign off on that too.
"There are people with this kind of platform who have the opportunity to educate, and they choose to confuse us," Lewis told me.
"That's why I will always will be the one that does the opposite. I won't be the most popular, but I will be the one at the end of the day that you've got to respect what I'm saying."
Well, maybe he knew this song wouldn't be too popular. Sorry, Ray.
This isn't the first time Ray has rapped, although it seems to be his first solo venture.
He teamed up with Under Armour and Pharrell Williams, a renowned producer and rapper, to put out three tracks in 2013. And there was this below.
