As if the Los Angeles Chargers didn't add enough former Ravens free agents, now they're pulling one out of retirement.

Tony Jefferson signed with the Chargers after impressing during a minicamp tryout, per Jordan Schultz.

Jefferson, 32, spent last season as an intern in the Ravens' scouting department. He last played for the New York Giants in 2022, making 23 tackles in nine games played, including one start.

He announced his retirement following that season but started training for a comeback this offseason in hopes of catching on somewhere.

Los Angeles, led by former Raven turned Chargers General Manager Joe Hortiz, makes too much sense. They also already added former Ravens running backs Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins, fullback Ben Mason, tight end Hayden Hurst and center Bradley Bozeman. Former Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman is Head Coach Jim Harbaugh's offensive coordinator.

Jefferson played three seasons in Baltimore and came back for part of a fourth after being out of the NFL for a year rehabbing his knee.
