16 Ravens Who Stood Out Over the Past Week
Rookie cornerback Anthony Averett, outside linebacker Za'Darius Smith and many more Ravens had good showings in Indianapolis.

CB Anthony Averett
The rookie fourth-round pick out of Alabama stood tall on the goal line with three straight stops, including an open-field tackle and pass deflection that he almost turned into an interception.

OLB Tyus Bowser
Back on the field after dealing with a hamstring injury, Bowser got in on the sack parade in the fourth quarter of Monday night's game. Bowser is competing with Kamalei Correa for the backup SAM linebacker spot.

WR John Brown
Brown has been the most explosive player in Ravens practices and he transferred that to practicing and playing against another team. Brown was a standout in the two days of joint practices with the Colts, then scored his first touchdown with a spectacular juggling catch in the back of the end zone.

S Chuck Clark
With Tony Jefferson sidelined, Clark has looked like a capable starter if called upon. He's a versatile defender in Baltimore's secondary.

WR Michael Crabtree
Crabtree has made a big play in each of the Ravens' first two games. His 29-yard catch against the Colts showed his savvy as he found a soft spot along the sideline in Indy's zone coverage.

RB Kenneth Dixon
Playing in his first game in 19 months, Dixon showed the quickness and physicality that made him a popular prediction to be the Ravens' starting running back before he suffered a season-ending knee injury. Dixon ran six times for 32 yards and caught three passes for 24 yards.

QB Joe Flacco
Flacco has the highest quarterback rating (140.3) of any gunslinger in the NFL this preseason. It's a limited body of work, but Flacco has led two touchdown drives so far. He's moving better in and outside the pocket and throwing the ball extremely well.

TE Hayden Hurst
Hurst stood out during the joint practices with the Colts, then hauled in a 15-yard pass in the game despite tight 1-on-1 coverage, which is what he's been working on in practice. He already shows a veteran knack for getting open.

CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste
On the bubble to make the roster, Jean-Baptiste had a nice interception in zone coverage when he read a throw down the sideline and leaped to make the pick. He's been a playmaker in practice and games.

DB/LB Anthony Levine Sr.
Levine made a nice play in Monday night's game to intercept Colts quarterback Andrew Luck. Levine stuck to his defender during a scramble drill, tipped the pass and caught it himself. A versatile and veteran defender who also excels on special teams, Levine is helping to cement his place.

WR Chris Moore
Moore has been one of the most consistent offensive playmakers in practice, then took it to the game with a tough 7-yard touchdown catch with a defender draped all over him.

T Greg Senat
Senat was thrust into action when Ronnie Stanley left and more than held his own. A sixth-round pick out of small-school Wagner, Senat showed that he's quickly developing.

OLB Za'Darius Smith
Smith was all over Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, notching a sack and nearly a second, with strong effort and closing speed. Smith was among the NFL's league leaders in quarterback hits last year. If he can finish more, he could rack up sacks.

OLB Terrell Suggs
Suggs continues to show why there's no concern in Baltimore that the veteran's 15th NFL season will be the beginning of the inevitable decline. Suggs logged a sack in both preseason games he's played in.

OLB Tim Williams
Williams is starting to blossom and has now notched sacks in back-to-back preseason games. The second-year Alabama product also recorded five total tackles against the Colts.

LB Kenny Young
Young made three impressive plays in the preseason game against the Colts. He stuffed big-bodied tight end Eric Ebron for a short gain on third down, he ran stride-for-stride with another tight end deep down the field on an incompletion and he stuffed Colts quarterback Phillip Walker on his attempted two-point conversion run to potentially win the game.
