Jimmy Smith 2015 stats: 16 games, 54 tackles, 3 interceptions, 1 sack, 10 passes defensed Smith is the proven veteran in this group. The sixth-year cornerback already received a big contract deserving of a shutdown corner, and the Ravens have big expectations for him in 2016. He started last year slow because of a Lisfranc foot injury he suffered in 2014, but he made considerable strides by the end of the season. Now that he's fully healthy, Smith said, "I think I'll be better this year."

Shareece Wright 2015 stats: 11 games, 40 tackles, 5 passes defensed Wright was a midseason addition who had a rough start to his tenure with the Ravens. But after giving up a pair of touchdowns in his Ravens debut, Wright settled into the starting lineup and ended up being one of the team's better defenders over the second half of the season. The Ravens signed Wright to a three-year deal this offseason and his expectation is to be a starter. 

Jerraud Powers 2015 stats: 13 games, 52 tackles, 1 interception, 1 sack, 9 passes defensed (with the Cardinals) Powers spent last season in Arizona where he started every game that he played. He is best suited as an inside cornerback, and he will get a chance to play that role in Baltimore. The eight-year veteran has plenty of experience in his NFL career, and he will go into training camp as the expected leader for the nickel job. While he is best suited as an inside cornerback, he could also challenge for the starting outside job.

Will Davis 2015 stats: 2 games, 1 tackle, 1 pass defensed Davis had a short, but promising, start to his Ravens career last season. Baltimore acquired him in a trade with the Dolphins, and in his first game he helped shut down one of the NFL's leading receivers in Antonio Brown. But Davis tore his ACL in the next game and landed on injured reserve. The four-year veteran will compete with Wright for a starting job, as long as he can stay healthy. 

Kyle Arrington 2015 stats: 15 games, 28 tackles, 3 passes defensed Arrington signed a three-year deal with the Ravens before last season, but his first season in Baltimore was a struggle. His playing time decreased over the course of the year, and now he is in a competition for the nickel corner role. Arrington is a veteran who is best suited in the slot and he'll compete with Powers and rookie Tavon Young for the job. 

Tavon Young 2015 college stats: 12 games, 41 tackles, 7 passes defensed The fourth-round pick out of Temple is also suited for the slot cornerback role. Young, 5-feet-10 and 180 pounds, is a hard-nosed player.  The biggest question with him is how big of a jump it will be for him going to the NFL, and whether he will be ready to immediately contribute. 

Maurice Canady 2015 college stats: 12 games, 39 tackles, 6 passes defensed Canady was the final pick of Baltimore's 11-man draft class. The Virginia product said that he's coming into the NFL with a chip on his shoulder after getting picked in the sixth round, and he'll have to prove himself this spring and summer to win a roster spot. 

Julian Wilson 2015 stats: Did not play Wilson was an undrafted player out of Oklahoma last year who broke his leg in rookie minicamp and missed the entire season. The 6-foot-2 cornerback has potential and he will compete for a roster spot. 

Sheldon Price 2015 stats: 2 games, 1 tackles (with the Colts) Price has been in the NFL since 2013 and bounced between the Colts and the Ravens. Baltimore picked him up in the middle of last season, but he didn't see any game action. They kept him as an exclusive rights free agent this offseason.

Sam Brown 2015 stats: 11 games, 3 interceptions, 13 passes defensed Brown was a late addition as an undrafted rookie. He is coming out of Missouri Western State, so he has a steep learning curve to make the adjustment to the NFL. 

Jumal Rolle 2015 stats: 9 games, 2 tackles Rolle played for the Texans and Ravens last year, but he reportedly tore his Achilles earlier this month and will miss the 2016 season.
