Five Free Agents Who Could Fit Ravens: Cornerback
A talented group of cornerbacks will be available during free agency, but most will carry a high price tag.

J.C. Jackson, New England Patriots
Age: 26 2021 stats: 17 games, 58 tackles, 8 interceptions, 23 passes defensed
Jackson is about to cash in after leading the NFL with 23 passes defended, while adding eight interceptions. He's a true No. 1 corner who made the Pro Bowl for the first time, and his best football could be ahead. The Patriots play plenty of man-to-man coverage and they were not afraid to leave Jackson on an island to defend the NFL's top receivers. Jackson has not closed the door on re-signing with New England, but the market for him figures to be hot and expensive. He'll have options when he decides which team to play for in 2022.

Carlton Davis, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Age: 25 2021 stats: 10 games, 39 tackles, 1 interception, 11 passes defensed
With a wide wingspan that helps him defend contested catches, Davis is a rangy, physical corner who has the tools to matchup against bigger receivers. He tackles well and isn't reluctant to offer support defending the run. Davis has played well in big games and was a key part of the Buccaneers' defense during their run to a Super Bowl in 2020. The Buccaneers like to blitz, which often left Davis in one-on-one coverage. He has the resume to be one of the first cornerbacks signed during free agency and will carry a high price tag.

Stephon Gilmore, Carolina Panthers
Age: 31 2021 stats: 8 games, 16 tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 passes defensed
The NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2019, Gilmore is one of the league's most respected players. His best years were with the Patriots and Gilmore has expressed his desire to sign with a contender. After missing time early in 2021 with a torn quad, Gilmore played at a high level despite the Panthers' disappointing season. Teams may be reluctant to give Gilmore a long-term deal at this stage of his career, but he can still be a difference-maker for a secondary. He should have no shortage of suitors once free agency begins.

Darious Williams, Los Angeles Rams
Age: 28 2021 stats: 14 games, 71 tackles, no interceptions, 9 passes defensed
Williams made the Ravens' roster as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and contributed on special teams before being released midway through the season. He was claimed off waivers by the Rams and his career blossomed when he capitalized on his opportunity for more playing time. Listed at 5-foot-9, 187 pounds, Williams is a smaller corner but tenacious, similar to Tavon Young who the Ravens recently released. Williams' play for the Super Bowl champions may have priced him out of Baltimore's range, but he is a free agent the Ravens are very familiar with.

Bryce Callahan, Denver Broncos
Age: 30 2021 stats: 11 games, 29 tackles, no interceptions, 4 passes defensed
Callahan's strongest position is slot corner and that's a role he could fill in Baltimore's secondary. He has missed six games in each of the past two seasons, and he has never played more than 13 games over his six-year career. That injury history could be a potential red flag, but Callahan has always played well when healthy. He's another player who may accept a short-term deal at this stage of his career. On a team that limits his snap count, Callahan could step in and provide depth and leadership at a key position.
