Five Free Agents Who Could Fit Ravens: Tight End
Former first-round picks O.J. Howard and Hayden Hurst could be good bargains for the Ravens as backups to Mark Andrews.

O.J. Howard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Age: 27
2021 Stats: 17 games, 14 receptions, 135 yards, 1 touchdown
A first-round pick in 2017, Howard was a player that a lot of Ravens fans had their sights on. He never really broke out as a receiver, however, and quickly found himself as part of a time share and then behind Rob Gronkowski. Howard's average yards per catch went from 16.6 as a rookie to 9.6 last season. He's a big-bodied player at 6-foot-6, 251 pounds who could help as a blocker and second receiving option who shouldn't be too expensive.

Hayden Hurst, Atlanta Falcons
Age: 28
2021 Stats: 13 games, 26 receptions, 221 yards, 3 touchdowns
The Ravens drafted Hurst before Lamar Jackson, showing how highly they valued the versatile tight end. When Mark Andrews emerged as Baltimore's leading tight end, the Ravens traded Hurst to Atlanta for a second-round pick. However, Hurst didn't explode in his lone season as their top tight end, catching 56 passes for 571 yards and six touchdowns. Then Atlanta drafted Kyle Pitts fourth-overall last year, putting Hurst back in a backup role. A reunion could suit both sides, as Hurst would get to reunite with teammates he loves in a system where he did well as both a blocker and receiver.

Maxx Williams, Arizona Cardinals
Age: 27
2021 Stats: 5 games, 16 receptions, 193 yards, 1 touchdown
Speaking of reunions, Williams was a Ravens second-round pick in 2015 and had his best season as a receiver that year with 32 catches for 268 yards. He miraculously came back from a major knee procedure and latched on in Arizona, where he had a lot of success as one of the game's best blocking tight ends. Now he's coming off a torn ACL that ended a season that was on track to be his best yet.

Kyle Rudolph, New York Giants
Age: 32
2021 Stats: 16 games, 26 receptions, 257 yards, 1 touchdown
Rudolph was released by the Giants last week, so he wouldn't count against the compensatory pick formula. The 11-year veteran has had diminishing production the past three seasons, but he'll be looking to prove he still has juice left in the tank. At 6-foot-6, 265 pounds, he certainly has the size to be a factor as a blocker and he has apparently improved in that area the past couple years.

Will Dissly, Seattle Seahawks
_Age: 25
2021 Stats: 15 games, 21 receptions, 231 yards, 1 touchdown
_The Seahawks just acquired tight end Noah Fant in a trade, meaning they probably won't keep their two free agent tight ends, Gerald Everett and Dissly. Dissly is the better blocker of the two who has also been steady as a receiver.
