Mack Wilson, Alabama – C.J. Mosley

**Zierlein’s Scouting Report**: He is today's version of an NFL linebacker with adequate size, plus strength and toughness, speed pursue and an ability to handle coverage duties on any down. Wilson is like a classically trained musician who hits his notes on time, but the question is whether or not he can play as a free-form, improvisational talent when the opportunity arises. Either way, he's a solid, three-down starter in any defensive scheme.

Devin White, LSU – Myles Jack

**Zierlein’s Scouting Report**: Running back convert out of high school who continues to show rapid development as a high-impact linebacker in a physical conference. White is still learning to take on blocks and play with better control/efficiency, but he's a willing pupil and coaching should improve both areas. White's work ethic, competitiveness, and rare play speed are elements that can't be taught and should push him into an early starter's role and a successful NFL career.

Devin Bush, Michigan – Stephen Tulloch

**Zierlein’s Scouting Report**: Undersized three-down linebacker with the speed and cover talent to make an easy transition to WILL linebacker as a pro. There will be NFL defenses who pass on Bush due to his lack of size, but his ability to play fast and free as an outside linebacker should supersede those concerns. He will miss some tackles and get engulfed by blockers at other times, but his play strength and ability to run and cover are extremely valuable in today's game and should not be diminished due to a tape measurement.

Germaine Pratt, N.C. State – Tahir Whitehead

**Zierlein’s Scouting Report**: Free safety-turned-linebacker with good cover skills who has filled out his frame and checks the size and speed boxes, but Pratt is still in the process of learning to man his position. He plays upright in space and is unorthodox and inconsistent in taking on blocks and finding his run fits. However, he plays with good lateral athleticism and burst and found his way to the football enough to fill out the stat sheet in his lone year as a starter. He will continue to improve with time and could become an eventual starter at either SAM or WILL.

Cameron Smith, USC – Blake Martinez

**Zierlein’s Scouting Report**: Inside linebacker whose four-year run can best be described as smart and steady. Smith is lacking the physical traits and athletic ability to excite general managers and his tape is hardly splashy. However, he has a keen sense of play development and uses smart angles and proper technique to do his job effectively. He could hear his name called in the middle rounds, but it won't take long for a coaching staff to look beyond his limitations and see a future starter.

Te'Von Coney, Notre Dame – Craig Robertson

**Zierlein’s Scouting Report**: Coney is an average athlete with average size but shows an impressive resilience to stay alive and make tackles, even when he looks like he might be blocked. He's consistent as a square-up, wrap-up tackler, but teams might want to see him play with more juice as a disruptor willing to take a few more downhill chances. If he runs well and adds some beef, Coney could project as an average starter at a two-down, inside linebacker spot.

David Long Jr., West Virginia – Jatavis Brown

**Zierlein’s Scouting Report**: Ultra-productive but undersized, teams will have to decipher how much of his production is translatable and how much came from his brazen, downhill approach. Long plays with a "scared money don't make money" approach that hit jackpots but pulled him out of position more than NFL coaches will be comfortable, with, but teams would rather dial back aggression than try and coach it up. He plays with some twitch, but his lack of size and strength could push him into a role as a backup 4-3 WILL with eventual starter potential in the right scheme.

T.J. Edwards, Wisconsin – B.J. Goodson

**Zierlein’s Scouting Report**: Stout four-year starter who shows up and does his job each week as a banger in the box with surprising ball skills to flip the field. He improved each season and his off-season weight loss is indicative of how seriously he takes the game. He lacks desired chase speed and might be maxed out as a player, but he doesn't make many dire mistakes that hurt his team. Edwards is a backup inside linebacker for a 3-4 or 4-3 defense with the ability to step up and handle starter's duties if needed.

Jahlani Tavai, Hawaii – Anthony Walker

**Zierlein’s Scouting Report**: While the level of competition wasn't always noteworthy, his impact production was. In a draft that is heavy on undersized, uber-productive linebackers, Tavai offers an NFL frame, good play strength, an aggressive demeanor and almost 10 tackles per game over the last three seasons. He's not overly explosive, but his decisiveness and motor are play traits that should serve him well as a pro. He could be a good three-down backup who could develop into an eventual starter inside.

Emeke Egbule, Houston – Tyus Bowser

**Zierlein’s Scouting Report**: Explosive outside linebacker prospect with exciting upside who is loose and twitchy but lacking in skill and consistent aggression. Egbule's juice up the rush arc should excite GMs and defensive coordinators even if the rush skill hasn't been honed. His fluidity to drop in coverage and harass passing lanes is equally enticing. He's a Day 3 developmental prospect offering scheme diverse traits and talents, but he has to prove he can adapt to the physical nature of the sport as a tackler and at the point of attack.
