Michael Campanaro has been plagued by injuries during his first three years in the league. He missed most of last season due to a calf injury suffered just before OTAs. In great shape and with a revised plan for staying healthy, Campanaro believes a breakout year is ahead. He should have the opportunity with the departure of Steve Smith Sr. and Kamar Aiken. Now the slot wideout needs to prove he can stay on the field and stack practices.

After seeing very limited defensive snaps as a rookie, the Ravens' 2016 second-round pick has a good chance this offseason to earn the starting inside linebacker spot next to C.J. Mosley. Kamalei Correa said it's a "night and day difference" between where he was last year and this offseason. As a rookie, he had trouble adapting to the Ravens' complex, versatile defense after playing in a more simplified system at Boise State. Now Correa knows his improvement is going to be put to the test.

Carl Davis sat out his entire sophomore season after injuring his ankle in the final preseason game. He and safety Matt Elam were placed on injured reserve, and the Ravens opted to bring Elam back instead of Davis. With the trade of Timmy Jernigan to Philadelphia, the Ravens need the 6-foot-5, 327-pound Davis to be a big part of the defensive line rotation this season.

The departure of Lawrence Guy in free agency has left a starting position open at defensive end. Bronson Kaufusi, a third-round pick last year, will compete with one of this year's third-round picks, Chris Wormley, and returning veteran Brent Urban for the job. Kaufusi missed his rookie season after breaking his ankle early in training camp, but the 6-foot-6, 385-pound giant has a lot of potential to show.

Alex Lewis may be the X-factor on the Ravens' offensive line this season. With starting jobs open at center and right tackle, it's unknown where the big, physical blocker will end up. Expect Lewis to work at his natural left guard spot, center and right tackle during OTAs. The question will be how quickly he can pick each position up.

Entering his second year, the 6-foot-6, 320-pound blocker is looking to prove that he's capable of handling a starting job. Stephane Nembot has the size and power to play at right tackle. It's always been an issue of technique and understanding of the game considering he got a late start after growing up in Cameroon.

Breshad Perriman had a solid first year on the field with 33 catches for 499 yards and three touchdowns. Now he needs to take the next step. Perriman injured his knee at the start of training camp as a rookie, forcing him to the sideline for the entire year, then injured the other knee during OTAs last year. Both times, it eliminated highly valuable practice time with quarterback Joe Flacco. Now healthy, Perriman needs to show growth this offseason.

Keenan Reynolds spent almost all last season on the Ravens' practice squad while making the transition from college triple-option quarterback to NFL wide receiver. He now feels much further ahead, and this is his chance to prove it. Just like the timing was right for Reynolds to graduate from the Naval Academy just before the Department of Defense changed the rules on service members jumping immediately to pro sports, he also has a chance to make the team as a wideout/returner.

Za'Darius Smith has some young pass rushers nipping at his heels. The Ravens have a pair of rookies in second-round pick Tyus Bowser and third-round selection Tim Williams. Matthew Judon is entering his second year after a strong rookie campaign. Smith, who is going into his third season, dropped from 5.5 sacks to one last season. He needs to reverse that this year, starting with an impressive offseason.

Benjamin Watson missed all last season with a torn Achilles. He had sat out just four games in his previous seven seasons. Now 36 years old, Watson is committed to proving he can still play at a high level again. He had a career year in New Orleans (74 catches, 825 yards and six touchdowns) before the injury. Can Watson follow in the steps of Steve Smith Sr. and Terrell Suggs in bouncing back from an Achilles?
