Ravens Who Have Stood Out in First Week of Training Camp
The quarterbacks have (justifiably) gotten much of the attention, but there are other Ravens making plays, including a handful of rookies.
![QB Joe Flacco
It's not just that Flacco is healthy after an injured back sidelined him throughout training camp and hindered him for the first half of the season. Flacco is moving better than he has in a long time and throwing the ball well, as usual. He's putting in extra work with his top receivers.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/aalefbsyuoxhec70qw2c.jpg)

![QB Lamar Jackson
Jackson hasn't hit every pass, but what rookie does? There's been much more good than bad in terms of throwing the ball, and Jackson has shown excellent touch on his deep passes. He's made big strides in calling plays and is "way ahead of the curve," according to Offensive Coordinator Marty Mornhinweg.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/yzbwbb6jyqxpbptwre1v.jpg)

![WR Tim White
White appears to be in the driver's seat to be the Ravens' punt returner. However, if he's going to make the team, he's going to have to contribute on offense too. White's shown that he can do that, especially as a speedy slot option who can make plays all over the field.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/dvg6nrvs1xietwawp2qr.jpg)

![WR Chris Moore
Moore has been Mr. Consistent so far in camp. He's hauling in everything that comes his way, and has made several impressive sideline and over-the-shoulder snags.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/oupxmelto9d8hktxhp3v.jpg)

![CB Marlon Humphrey
Humphrey is locking up wide receivers with regularity. On Monday, he shut down Willie Snead IV several times during red-zone drills. ![LB Patrick Onwuasor
Onwuasor is showing that having a year of playing inside linebacker has made a big difference. He's attacking the line of scrimmage with more confidence in the run game. He's also been good in coverage, evidenced by a tipped ball that was picked off by Matthew Judon.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/u0i29zehheyg8bqnxzdk.jpg)

![DT Willie Henry
Now that contact is allowed in the trenches, Henry's physical improvements (he's leaner, yet stronger) are showing up. Henry is going to be a handful. He flattened left tackle Ronnie Stanley on one run play to the outside.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/c0xbtwc1ubo5fet7yv3p.jpg)

![OLB Tyus Bowser
Bowser looks good going forward and backward. He's been explosive off the edge and soundly beat rookie third-round pick Orlando Brown Jr. on the edge one time. Bowser has also been good dropping in coverage.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/kuxxba5cyv9yoi2m4sme.jpg)

![CB Jimmy Smith
The fact that Smith is back on the field and participating in 11-on-11 work is a good sign itself. He was given two days off as the Ravens want to ease him in, but it's a strong indication that he'll be on the field for Week 1.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/bn1qvpldrttf3rfspujk.jpg)

![OT Orlando Brown Jr.
With tight end Hayden Hurst missing three days of practice, Brown has been the only rookie to consistently work with the starters. Brown is holding his own against top competition.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/ldwenh2ogdx869dxhjgk.jpg)

![WR Janarion Grant
The undrafted rookie has flashed, particularly over the middle of the field where his quickness makes for tough assignments for linebackers. Grant put the exclamation point on one touchdown catch with an end zone backflip.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/pbwsksmqsih7atpf2gyf.jpg)

![CB Tavon Young
Coming off a season-ending knee injury suffered last offseason, Young picked up where he left off in a strong rookie year. He's the Ravens' clear top slot option and has broken up several passes in one-on-one drills. He's still scrappy and seems to trust his knee's health.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/v14qi7tq7retvwdg0fq4.jpg)

![P/K Kaare Vedvik
Vedvik drilled a 67-yard field goal in practice, showing that the hybrid undrafted rookie has plenty of leg. Head Coach John Harbaugh praised how consistently straight Vedvik kicks the ball and even joked about a competition with Justin Tucker.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/hk9vjc65sdtnldfbuwjk.jpg)

![S DeShon Elliott
The sixth-round pick out of Texas has shown his physicality when the pads have come on. On Sunday, he decked undrafted rookie tight end Nick Keizer as soon as he caught a pass, causing an incompletion, and whacked undrafted rookie wide receiver Jaelon Acklin. On Tuesday, Elliott popped first-round tight end Hayden Hurst.](https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/private/t_new_photo_album/t_lazy/f_auto/ravens/tnz0cfrm7jybabgrcdug.jpg)
