Who’s Out There? Guards
After the retirement of Marshal Yanda, perhaps the Ravens will take a closer look at some of these free agent guards.
Joe Thuney, New England Patriots
As the top guard on the market, Thuney, 27, will be very expensive. But he's a proven talent, the first player ever to start in a Super Bowl in his first three seasons.
Brandon Schreff, Washington Redskins
After failing to meet expectations his first four years as an offensive tackle, Schreff blossomed when switched to guard in 2019. Only 26 years old, Schreff should be entering the prime of his career.
Graham Glasgow, Detroit Lions
Glasgow, 27, has qualities the Ravens like in offensive linemen – versatility, toughness, and durability. He has missed just one game during the past four years, and he's capable of playing both guard and center.
Greg Van Roten, Carolina Panthers
He started 11 games in 2019 before a toe injury ended his season. He's 30 years old, and will not command the kind of money that Schreff and Thuney will.
Mike Iupati, Seattle Seahawks
Injuries and age (33) have taken a toll on Iupati, but he was once one of the NFL's top guards. Iupati comes from a winning culture and has plenty of experience.
Quinton Spain, Buffalo Bills
He was part of the reason Buffalo had a top-10 rushing attack last season. Spain, 28, is a mauler who would likely adjust well to playing in an attack run by Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman.
Andrus Peat, New Orleans Saints
Once the 13th-overall pick (2015), Peat, 26, has been a solid run-blocking left guard. He played with two Ravens who are former Saints – running back Mark Ingram II and wide receiver Willie Snead IV.
