Cincinnati Bengals

No. 4 seed, 10-7, AFC North champions
vs. Ravens: Won in Week 7 (41-17); Won in Week 16 (41-21)

Root for: If your bleeding heart forces you to pull for the franchise and fanbase that's suffered enough, the Bengals are your choice. Cincinnati just snapped a 31-year streak without winning a playoff game. Established in 1968, the Bengals are one of 12 teams who haven't won a Super Bowl.
Root against: It's a divisional foe. Need we say more? Joe Burrow poured it on the injury-ravaged Ravens defense this year and he’s already cocky enough without a Super Bowl ring on his finger.

Tennessee Titans

No. 1 seed, 12-5, AFC South champions
vs. Ravens: Didn't meet in 2021

Root for: They can knock out a division rival this weekend. The Titans are also one of the 12 teams who have not won a Super Bowl. They literally came up one yard short in Super Bowl XXXIV. Or you just like country music.
Root against: The Titans ended the Ravens' dream 2019 season prematurely when Baltimore was the top seed and riding a 12-game winning streak, and Lamar Jackson was the MVP. They shall never be forgiven. Plus, remember when they stomped on the Ravens' midfield logo – twice?

Buffalo Bills

No. 3 seed, 11-6, AFC East champions
vs. Ravens: Didn't meet in 2021

Root for: The Bills are another team who hasn't won the Super Bowl. They are die-hard fans up in Buffalo who put up with frigid temperatures to support their team. That amount of passion for the home team is kind of similar to Baltimore.
Root against: They knocked the Ravens out of the playoffs a year ago in painful fashion.

Kansas City Chiefs

No. 2 seed, 12-5, AFC West champions
vs. Ravens: Lost in Week 2 (36-35)

Root for: Orlando Brown Jr. is their left tackle and it you would be happy for him if he won it all.
Root against: Even though the Ravens beat the Chiefs this season, casting a weight off their shoulders after three straight defeats, there's still a part of you that doesn't want to see Patrick Mahomes get another leg up on Lamar Jackson. Also, it might be a little painful to see them win it all with Brown, especially considering the Ravens' difficulties at offensive tackle this season following the trade.

San Francisco 49ers

No. 6 seed, 10-7, Wild-Card
vs. Ravens: Didn't meet in 2021

Root for: The Ravens have already dealt the 49ers "Faithful" enough pain from Super Bowl XLVII. The 49ers also lost a close one in the Super Bowl a couple years ago. So let them have one. Plus, they're the only wild-card team left so they're the underdog. And they have Kyle Juszczyk.
Root against: They already have five Super Bowls. If they get a sixth, they'll tie the Steelers and Patriots for the most in league history. So while they've had some painful endings in recent years, they've had plenty of glory days.

Green Bay Packers

No. 1 seed, 13-4, NFC North champions
vs. Ravens: Won in Week 15 (31-30)

Root for: The Ravens had the Packers on the ropes, coming just a failed two-point conversion away from probably beating them. Tyler Huntley outscored Aaron Rodgers with four total touchdowns. It would kind of be a feather in the cap, and more evidence of just how tough Baltimore battled down the stretch, if the Packers ended up winning it all.
Root against: On the flip side, if the Packers win the Lombardi Trophy, it's a reminder of how good the Ravens could have been if they didn't have so many injuries.

Los Angeles Rams

No. 4 seed, 12-5, NFC West champions
vs. Ravens: Won in Week 17 (20-19)

Root for: It's similar to the Packers reasoning here. The Ravens really should have beaten the Rams, so if they win it all, it's in a way gratifying. Also, former Raven and fan favorite Eric Weddle came out of retirement to chase a ring at 37 years old. That's pretty awesome.
Root against: The loss to the Rams was one of the most painful. With Huntley under center again, Baltimore had a couple chances to knock them out, including a first-and-goal offensively late in the game and a fourth down to win the game defensively.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

No. 2 seed, 13-4, NFC South champions
vs. Ravens: Didn't meet in 2021

Root for: If you're one of those fans that just likes being a witness to all-time greatness – like a Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods in his prime fan – then you would probably enjoy seeing Tom Brady win his eighth Super Bowl at 44 years old. It also might pain some Pats fans to see him win another with a different team, so that's fun.
Root against: It's Brady's team and you still don't like the guy from his Patriots-Ravens rivalry days. Plus, it's better to let somebody else taste the glory than watch a back-to-back champion.
