Cincinnati Bengals: Will Trey Hendrickson Be Next To Sign Following Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins?

After making their top two receivers very happy, the Bengals are reportedly working on a contract extension for top pass rusher Trey Hendrickson.

Cincinnati has agreed to contract extensions with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, according to Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz, and now the Bengals have reportedly turned their attention to Hendrickson, who wants an extension after leading the NFL in sacks (17.5) in 2024. According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Cincinnati and Hendrickson are working to get a deal done.

Hendrickson has stated that there's nowhere he’d rather be than Cincinnati, despite being given permission to seek a trade. He is reportedly due to make $16 million next season in the final year of his contract, and the 30-year-old has accounted for 35 sacks over the last two seasons.

Chase and Higgins are reportedly now the NFL's highest-paid wide receiver duo, with Chase becoming the highest-paid non-quarterback.

Hendrickson could be the next Bengals' star to receive a huge payday.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Uncertainty at Quarterback Doesn't Worry DK Metcalf

The Steelers made a big move by trading for star wide receiver DK Metcalf, but who will throw him the football next season?

Entering the second week of free agency, the Steelers were still weighing their options at quarterback after Sam Darnold (Seattle Seahawks), Geno Smith (Las Vegas Raiders), and Justin Fields (New York Jets) all found homes elsewhere.

However, Metcalf says he isn't worried about Pittsburgh's quarterback situation.

"They made me feel like they had the right decision with who's going to be throwing me the football," Metcalf said at his introductory press conference in Pittsburgh. "I'm not making the decision in the quarterback room. So I'm just going try to do the best of my abilities to help whoever they have out there throwing the football."

This has been a big month for Metcalf, who announced his engagement to singer Normani.

Cleveland Browns: Kenny Pickett Believes in His Chances to Win Starting Job

After being traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Cleveland Browns, Kenny Pickett believes in his chances to become a starting quarterback in 2025.

The Browns may draft or sign a quarterback, but their starting spot is up for grabs, with Pickett and injured quarterback Deshaun Watson (Achilles) the only signal-callers currently on their roster.

A first-round pick by the Steelers in 2022, Pickett is with his third team and plans to cash in on his latest opportunity.

"I do view myself as a starter," Pickett said via Kevin Patra of NFL.com. "I'm sure they're going to bring in another veteran and who knows what else, but I'm just excited to be here and compete with whoever.

"All the quarterback rooms I've been in, each room's been really tight. We all pull for each other. That's really what it's all about: getting better together and making the team better."

Watson is expected to miss the entire 2025 season, giving Pickett a chance for plenty of reps to state his case.

"I just think it's a great opportunity to go compete again," Pickett said. "That's really all you can ask for. That's what I was told here, coming in here, having an opportunity to compete again. I'm very excited for that."
