WHAT:Unilever's annual Backpack Give-Away event is tomorrow, Tuesday, August 19. (PAL Center, City and Local Youth Programs) Unilever employee volunteers at the Holabird Avenue plant in Baltimore City assembled the backpacks and will be on hand to help distribute the packs.
For many children, this time of year can be stressful because they may not be able to afford all the supplies that can make their schoolwork easier. This circumstance can often lead to lowered self-esteem. Unilever is committed to helping to address the critical nationwide problem of low self-esteem among adolescent and pre-adolescent youth - with a special focus on underserved communities.
