Bernard Scott Out, Terrence Cody In vs. Browns

New running back Bernard Scott won't play in his first Ravens game Sunday in Cleveland.

Baltimore signed Scott on Monday to be their third running back. He practiced with the team throughout the week, but with Ray Rice (hip) and Bernard Pierce (thigh) healthy, Scott is the Ravens' third option at running back.

The Ravens will get a big body back in the trenches.

Nose tackle Terrence Cody (knee) will play for the first time since Week 3. He's missed four straight games. Cody will work inside with rookie Brandon Williams and Haloti Ngata, helping offset the release of veteran Marcus Spears.

After waiving Spears and safety Michael Huff, the Ravens brought Omar Brown and rookie Brynden Trawick up from the practice squad. Brown is active and will play his fourth career game on special teams against the Browns. Trawick, however, is inactive.

With starting left guard Kelechi Osemele (back) out, A.Q. Shipley will start in his place. Guard Jah Reid is active for just the second time this season, and will be the top backup.

The Ravens' other inactives are center Ryan Jensen, wide receiver Brandon Stokley, defensive end DeAngelo Tyson and outside linebacker John Simon.

Stokley hasn't played since Week 3 against the Texans. Jensen (foot) was probable to play his first game, but may be a healthy scratch.

Linebacker Josh Bynes (finger) and tackle Michael Oher (ankle) were both probable and will play.

The Browns' inactives are center Patrick Lewis, right tackle Martin Wallace, left guard Garrett Gilkey, left tackle Reid Fragel, nose tackle Ishmaa'ily Kitchen, tight end Keavon Milton and linebacker Paul Hazel. They are all backups.
