Chris Wormley is reportedly coming back to the Ravens, the team that originally drafted him seven years ago.

The veteran defensive lineman is signing to the practice squad after working out in Baltimore Monday, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Wormley, 30, played five games last season for the Carolina Panthers, recording four tackles. He had a three-year run as a Pittsburgh Steelers after the Ravens traded him to their rival in March of 2020.

Wormley made the Ravens feel some pain for that trade, as he recorded four sacks and five tackles for loss in four games against Baltimore. He had a monster 2021 season as a Steeler, recording 51 tackles and seven sacks in 15 games.

The Ravens drafted Wormley in the third round of the 2017 draft. He spent three seasons in Baltimore and started 13 games. His best season as a Raven was in 2019 when he posted 33 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Baltimore's defensive line has gotten off to a strong start with Nnamdi Madubuike and Travis Jones leading the way, followed by Michael Pierce, Broderick Washington, and Brent Urban. Wormley would add more veteran depth to the unit and could be called up to the gameday roster if needed.

The Ravens also signed tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden to their practice squad on Monday. Mitchell-Paden is from Rockville, Md., and was most recently with the Cleveland Browns.
