Malik Hamm, who was competing for a role in the outside linebacker rotation, has been placed on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury.

The 23-year-old Baltimore native made the initial 53-man roster in 2023 as an undrafted rookie from Lafayette. Hamm spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve (ankle) but made his presence felt as a pass rusher this spring during OTAs and minicamp.

The Ravens have signed outside linebacker and local product Quincy Roche to the 90-man roster. Roche played at New Town High School in Owings Mills, just a short drive from the Ravens' practice facility at the Under Armour Performance Center.

Roche was a sixth-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021 after playing at the University of Miami. He played 17 games with the New York Giants in 2021 and '22, recording 40 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Roche spent the 2023 season on the Minnesota Vikings practice squad before becoming a free agent.

The competition for others to earn more snaps at outside linebacker behind Odafe Oweh and veteran Kyle Van Noy, who had a career-high 9.0 sacks last season, will continue. Tavius Robinson is coming off a solid rookie season in which he played every game. This is also a key season for David Ojabo, who is healthy for training camp after playing just five games over the past two seasons due to injuries.

Third-round outside linebacker Adisa Isaac was placed on the non-football injury list before training camp and has not practiced, and undrafted rookie Joe Evans from Iowa is also competing for a roster spot.
