Having played annually from 1980-2007, Maryland and West Virginia meet for the fourth-consecutive season after a two-year break (2008-09) in the series. The Mountaineers own a 26-21-2 all-time series lead that began in 1919. In a matchup held last season in Morgantown, West Virginia prevailed, 31-21.
