Giant and the Baltimore Ravens will announce Giant's support of "Purple," the official Ravens club just for women. Designed for the female Ravens fan, Purple provides a forum to stay involved with the team and each other through updates, special offers, events and more. The Ravens' Purple Friday Caravan will arrive at the Timonium Giant on Friday morning to kick off the 2011 football season. Giant Food of Landover, Md., and the Baltimore Ravens invite local officials, community members, and media to enjoy the first Purple Friday of the season, with tailgate food provided by Giant while fans interact with Ravens cheerleaders, band members and mascot, Poe.
Last year, Giant was named the official supermarket partner of the Baltimore Ravens. Giant's support of Purple strengthens the relationship between the successful team and the neighborhood grocer.
