The Ravens All Community Team Foundation (RACTF) has awarded youth football grants to 14 nonprofit programs in the state of Maryland. In their commitment to enhance the quality of youth football, the Baltimore Ravens will provide grants for new football equipment and apparel to teams that demonstrated outstanding programs and had a positive impact on their communities.
The first-year grant will serve as a pipeline between the Ravens and youth football teams to promote, improve and facilitate the healthy development of youth in the community. Each team will be able to utilize its grant to purchase different equipment and apparel ranging from uniforms and helmets to flag football sets and blocking shields.
On an annual basis, the Ravens contribute more than 800 cleats to area football programs, donate weight-training equipment, host clinics for youth football coaches and recognize area high school coaches through the Ravens Coach of the Week program. The team also hosts flag football exhibitions for local youth, including the most recent partnership with the Ravens' personnel department (held on June 4) and showcases high school quarterbacks in the QB Challenge halftime passing competition at home games.
