Press Release - Maryland-Navy Tickets Go On Sale Tuesday

The Naval Academy and the University of Maryland football teams will renew their rivalry for state bragging rights in a return to M&T Bank Stadium when they kick off the 2010 season on Monday, Sept. 6 at 4:00 p.m.

Tickets for this year's game go on sale tomorrow (Tuesday, March 9) at 10:00 a.m. via Ticketmaster. Special VIP hospitality packages with prime club level seating are also available on both an individual basis and for groups of 30 people. The Ravens expect a sellout crowd for the event.

"It's natural for the state's two biggest collegiate football programs to battle here in Baltimore at M&T Bank Stadium," Ravens vice president of ticket sales and operations Baker Koppelman stated. "Fans from all over the region will want to be here on Labor Day to be a part of this."

The rivalry, historically known as the "Crab Bowl Classic," began in 1905, and this year's game will mark the 22nd meeting between the Terps and the Midshipmen. Navy leads the all-time series 15-6 and seeks to avenge a close 23-20 loss in the last meeting at M&T Bank Stadium in 2005.
