The Baltimore Ravens agreed in principle with the Los Angeles Rams on a trade for CB Tre'Davious White, executive vice president and general manager Eric DeCosta announced Tuesday.
Here are several notes about the 5-9, 196-pound White:
- An eight-year pro, White, 29, who was selected by the Bills in the first round (27th overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft, spent the first seven years (2017-23) of his career in Buffalo before signing a one-year deal with the Rams on April 9, 2024.
- White, a two-time Pro Bowler (2019-20), 2019 first-team All-Pro and 2020 second-team All-Pro, has started in all 86 regular season appearances throughout his career, totaling 323 tackles (251 solo), 12 tackles for loss, three sacks, 18 interceptions, 70 passes defensed, five forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries, including one for a touchdown. In seven postseason contests (all starts), he's posted 32 tackles (22 solo), one tackle for loss, five passes defensed and one forced fumble. Along with his Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors, White has also been recognized as a two-time (2019, Week 7 & Week 15) AFC Defensive Player of the Week.
- Prior to entering the NFL, White, a Shreveport, La., native, was a four-year (2013-16) starter at LSU. Appearing in 49 games (47 starts) during his decorated collegiate career, White tallied 167 tackles (111 solo), 11 tackles for loss, six interceptions (one pick-six), 34 pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He also contributed on special teams, returning 69 punts for 688 yards and three touchdowns. He earned his degree in sports administration from LSU in 2016.
