Press Release: Ravens, Gurode Reach Agreement

The Baltimore Ravens and C Andre Gurode have reached a one-year agreement in principle, pending Gurode passing a physical.

A five-time Pro Bowler (2006-10), the 6-4, 318-pound Gurode enters his 10th NFL season. Having seen action in 138 career games – all with the Dallas Cowboys – he has started 122 contests, including every game in each of the past three seasons.

"We just got better as a team," executive vice president and general manager Ozzie Newsome stated. "To have a successful season, you have to have quality depth across the board. We just added great depth to the interior of our offensive line with Andre."

Originally drafted by Dallas in 2002, Gurode was selected in the second round (37th overall) from the University of Colorado.

Last name is pronounced: jer-ODDΒ
