Press Release - Ravens Paint The Town Purple

As the Baltimore Ravens football team prepares for its Divisional Playoff game (Jan. 15, 1 p.m.) at M&T Bank Stadium, the rest of the organization will be painting the town purple, literally.

Tuesday morning (Jan. 3), members of the Ravens' grounds crew will visit City Hall and Federal Hill to paint the Ravens' logo on available grass at each location. The group will be joined by front office staff, mascots Poe and Rise and Conquer, and cheerleaders to celebrate the team's postseason push and to hand out giveaways for fans who attend.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is also expected to attend the painting at City Hall at 11:00 a.m. "I want to congratulate Coach Harbaugh, the players and the entire Ravens organization for yet another trip to the postseason," she stated. "A home playoff game is going to be great for Baltimore. Hotels, bars and restaurants in the city will benefit from thousands of fans coming out to watch the game together. I look forward to joining thousands of fellow Ravens fans as we celebrate our hometown team and paint this great city purple."
