As the 2011 AFC North Champion Baltimore Ravens prepare for their Divisional Playoff game (Jan. 15, 1 p.m.) at M&T Bank Stadium, the organization will be receiving special, handwritten encouragement from young fans in the Baltimore area.
In partnership with Giant Food, beginning tomorrow morning (Jan. 3), children will be able to write and send letters to the Ravens via purple mailboxes found in 50 area store locations. Each Wednesday evening throughout the playoffs, the letters will be picked up and transported to the team's Owings Mills training facility, where they will then be posted in the cafeteria for players and coaches to see.
