Ravens and BGE Honor Outstanding Volunteers Through 2013 Community Quarterback Award Program

The Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) have teamed up to honor exceptional Maryland volunteers for their devotion to bettering local communities through the annual Community Quarterback Award.

Supported by NFL Charities and the Ravens Foundation and funded by BGE, the award recognizes individuals who exemplify dedication, leadership and commitment to improving the communities in which they live through volunteerism. Volunteers 13 and over, who provide extraordinary services for nonprofit organizations, with a focus on education, environment, community development and arts & culture, are eligible for the 2013 program. Charitable organizations are invited to nominate their remarkable volunteers for recognition, or individuals may nominate themselves.

The selected volunteers will be acknowledged on Dec. 8, during the Ravens-Vikings game at M&T Bank Stadium. Honorees will be awarded game tickets for themselves and a guest, Ravens apparel, autographed memorabilia, a commemorative plaque and a $3,000 financial grant benefitting their respective nonprofit organization.

Applications for the 2013 Community Quarterback Award can be completed online at http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/community/programs.html from Oct. 18-Nov. 15. All nominees will be acknowledged by the Ravens for their commitment to bettering Maryland communities.
