RAVENS RE-SIGN DE LAWRENCE GUY
The Baltimore Ravens and DE Lawrence Guy have agreed to terms on a two-year deal, general manager/executive vice president Ozzie Newsome announced Wednesday afternoon. Guy is expected to sign his contract on Thursday.
A four-year NFL veteran, the 6-4, 318-pounder became an unrestricted free agent following the 2014 campaign after playing in 11 regular season games (one start). He was originally claimed off waivers (San Diego) by Baltimore in Week 4 last season. Providing solid depth on the Ravens' defensive line, Guy posted 16 total tackles, one pass defensed and one fumble recovery. He added one tackle in two playoff games.
For his career, Guy has totaled 54 tackles (26 solo), one sack, five passes defensed and one fumble recovery in 35 games (three starts).
Guy is the second defensive lineman the Ravens re-signed Wednesday after the team agreed to terms with veteran DE Chris Canty.
