Ravens Waive Rookie Running Back

The Ravens have waived running back Chris Collier.

The undrafted rookie from Division II Loch Haven appeared in five games with the team after starting the season on the practice squad. Collier was signed to Baltimore's active roster on Oct. 21 after the team exhausted all of his gameday elevations.

Collier didn't play an offensive snap for the Ravens but returned 10 kickoffs for 221 yards.

The Ravens have three running backs on the active roster, but Keaton Mitchell could return soon. Mitchell is recovering from a late-season knee injury and has been a full practice participant the last two weeks.

After Monday's practice, Head Coach John Harbaugh said that "there's a chance" Mitchell could play Thursday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
