The National Football League and the Baltimore Ravens have teamed up to honor outstanding Maryland volunteers for their commitment to local communities through the annual Community Quarterback Awards. The nomination form is now available online at www.baltimoreravens.com/communityqb.
Funded by NFL Charities, these awards recognize youth and adults who demonstrate leadership and dedication in their volunteer efforts. Charitable organizations are invited to nominate their notable volunteers for the 2009 program; individuals can also nominate themselves. Volunteers, aged 13 and over, who provide exceptional services for nonprofit organizations are eligible for recognition.
Selected volunteers will be saluted on Nov. 22 at the Ravens vs. Colts game at M&T Bank Stadium. Honorees will be awarded game tickets for themselves and a guest and a Ravens gift bag, complete with apparel and autographed memorabilia. NFL Charities will award a grant to each respective nonprofit organization, on behalf of the awardees.
