The Ravens sit ½ game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North and currently have the No. 6 playoff spot in the conference after their 22-10 win in Los Angeles.
Baltimore sits at 9-6, but is not guaranteed a playoff spot yet. The Ravens likely need to win in Week 17 at home against the Cleveland Browns.
However, the rest of the league can help improve the Ravens' chances of making the playoffs, and Baltimore will be watching Sunday after getting back from the West Coast.
Here's who Ravens fans should root for in Week 16:
New York Giants (5-9) at Indianapolis Colts (8-6)
Sunday, 1 p.m.
The Titans and Colts are the Ravens' top challengers for a wild-card spot. Tennessee already moved to 9-6 with a win Saturday night. The Colts have won two straight and looked impressive shutting out the Dallas Cowboys last weekend. The Giants are out of the playoff hunt, but three of their wins have come on the road. Ravens fans must hope for a Colts letdown. If the Colts lose today, but beat the Titans in Week 17, Baltimore is in the playoffs.
Root for: Giants
Jacksonville Jaguars (4-10) at Miami Dolphins (7-7)
Sunday, 1 p.m.
The Dolphins' playoff hopes are hanging by a thread. But they could still edge the Ravens for a wild-card spot with some unlikely scenarios over the next two weeks. A loss in this game would eliminate Miami.
Root for: Jaguars
Houston Texans (10-4) at Philadelphia Eagles (7-7)
Sunday, 1 p.m.
There is a slim possibility the Ravens could finish 10-6 and still miss the playoffs. That would happen if the Texans finished 10-6 and did not win the AFC South. In that case, the Texans would be the No. 6 seed and the Ravens would be out. However, if the Texans win this game, they win the AFC South and make it impossible for the Ravens to miss the playoffs if they finish 10-6.
Root for: Texans
Buffalo Bills (5-9) at New England Patriots (9-5)
Sunday, 1 p.m.
The Patriots could still miss the playoffs if they lose their last two games. It's highly unlikely, but if the Patriots finished 9-7 and didn't win the AFC East, the Ravens could edge New England for the No. 6 seed at 9-7. Wouldn't that be something?
Root for: Bills
Pittsburgh Steelers (8-5-1) at New Orleans Saints (12-2)
Sunday, 4:25 p.m.
The Steelers haven't clinched a playoff berth, and a loss in New Orleans would give the Ravens a chance to win the AFC North. It's natural for Ravens fans to root against Pittsburgh. This is no exception.
