Ravens running back Alex Collins is inactive for Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders, the first time Collins will not dress this season. Collins (ankle) was listed as questionable, but he was a full participant in Friday's practice after missing practice Wednesday and Thursday.
It opens the door for rookie running back Gus Edwards, who had a breakout game last week with 115 yards on 17 carries, and the Ravens have ample running back depth with Javorius Allen and Ty Montgomery also active. Playing in his second game, Montgomery could also see a bump in snaps.
Slot cornerback Tavon Young (groin) is also inactive, but cornerback Maurice Canady is active for the first time since Week 1. Canady suffered a knee injury during the season-opener, then was placed on injured reserve after being inactive Weeks 2 and 3. Canady was reactivated off IR on Saturday and has experience playing slot cornerback. The Ravens have been rotating their three top corners – Marlon Humphrey, Jimmy Smith and Brandon Carr – and they are all active.
Starting left guard Alex Lewis (shoulder) is active after being listed as questionable on Friday. Lewis has started all but two games this season. Tight end Maxx Williams is also active after not dressing for three straight games. The Ravens will dress just three running backs but four tight ends – Williams, Nick Boyle, Mark Andrews, and Hayden Hurst.
As was announced Friday, quarterback Joe Flacco (right hip) is inactive and will miss his second straight game, as Lamar Jackson makes his second straight start with Robert Griffin III active as the backup. Meanwhile pass-rushing linebacker Tim Williams (ankle) will miss his third straight game. Linebacker/defensive back Anthony Levine (ankle) is also active after being listed as questionable.
In addition to Flacco, Collins, Young, and Williams, other Ravens inactives are right tackle James Hurst (back), wide receiver Jordan Lasley and defensive tackle Zach Sieler.
Raiders inactives are starting wide receiver Martavis Bryant (knee), cornerback Leon Hall, linebacker Emanuel Lamur, offensive lineman Ian Silberman, offensive tackle Justin Murray, offensive lineman Denver Kirkland and defensive end Fadol Brown.
