Kyle Hamilton Gets Ravens' Highest Grade vs. Browns

There were a handful of cruel twists in the Ravens' 29-24 loss in Cleveland, but the most painful was Kyle Hamilton's dropped interception that would've likely won the game.

It's especially tough because Hamilton was one of the Ravens' best players on the field Sunday, and the Pro Football Focus (PFF) grades back it up. Hamilton finished with Baltimore's highest grade at 82.1.

Hamilton had a critical sack/forced fumble near the end of the first half that set up a Ravens touchdown. He had a team-high nine solo tackles, including one that may have saved a touchdown, one sack, one tackle for loss, two quarterback hits, and two passes defensed.

Here's a look at the other grades and snap counts that stood out from Baltimore's loss:

  • Safety Marcus Williams was in uniform but didn't see any action, as Eddie Jackson played 100% of the snaps and Ar'Darius Washington played 64%. Head Coach John Harbaugh called it a "personnel decision."
  • Though Jackson was beaten on the game-winning touchdown and dropped a couple interception opportunities, he had a 64.9 grade that landed in the middle of the Ravens' defensive pack. Jackson was credited with two touchdowns and a team-high 79 receiving yards allowed, surrendering six catches on 10 targets.
  • Cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis (52.8), who stepped in for the injured Marlon Humphrey, cornerback Brandon Stephens (52.6), and linebacker Roquan Smith (50.3) had the Ravens' lowest defensive grades.
  • Lamar Jackson had the Ravens' highest offensive grade, as he still completed 23 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns and would've had more had it not been for several drops. Jackson also rushed for 46 yards.
  • Mark Andrews played 50 snaps, his highest total since Week 1 in Kansas City and three more than Isaiah Likely.
  • Even though Michael Pierce (calf) and Brent Urban (concussion) left the game early, Travis Jones still only played 15 defensive snaps (22%). Jones came into the game questionable with an ankle injury. Broderick Washington played 42 (61%) and Nnamdi Madubuike played a career-high 86%. He has played 59 defensive snaps in back-to-back weeks.
  • Nickel cornerback Arthur Maulet played 26 snaps (38%) in his first game back from injured reserve.
  • The Ravens keep trying to find ways to get more pressure on the quarterback and Kyle Van Noy led the outside linebackers with 51 snaps, followed by Odafe Oweh's 45. Yannick Ngakoue played 12 snaps and David Ojabo was a healthy scratch.
  • Fullback Pat Ricard played a season-low 11 snaps (16%). The Browns clamped down on Baltimore's rushing attack. Derrick Henry had one 39-yard run, but otherwise totaled 34 yards on 10 carries.
  • Wide receiver Rashod Bateman had the offense's lowest grade (45.9) after two drops, including one on a long pass that he lost in the sun.
