Lamar Jackson had 79 rushing yards in Baltimore's 24-19 loss to the Eagles, but his mom, Felicia Jones, thought he should have had more.
Jackson ran the ball eight times against Philadelphia, but his final run went for 39 yards with the game already decided, boosting his rushing stats. After the game, Jackson was asked about not attacking some rushing lanes, and he knocked on the podium a couple times in frustration.
"My momma just told me that. She just cussed me out," Jackson said. "I'm mad. We're going to get after it. I'm not going to lie to you, we're going to get after it. I can't wait for this bye to get on. We got the Giants coming up, I'm ready to go.
"She said there were lanes I should have taken and ran. I was just trying to let guys develop routes. We had developing routes. I was just trying to go through my progression, but yeah, she [was] right."
Jackson threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium, but he feels he and the rest of the team didn't play their best.
After the Ravens scored on their first two drives of the game, Jackson and Isaiah Likely didn't connect on a big-play opportunity, then Jackson fumbled the following snap, leading to a three-and-out. On the next drive, with the Ravens offense backed up to their own 1-yard line, Jackson threw an open third-down pass at the feet of Zay Flowers.
Jackson was sacked three times and under a lot of pressure. He took one 14-yard loss on a third-and-5 that backed Justin Tucker up before his 47-yard field goal miss.
"That was a pretty good team, don't get me wrong, but I feel like we left stuff out there," Jackson said. "We should have put more points on the board."
