Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett Scheduled for MRI, Offensive Line Depleted

The Browns (1-2) suffered a disappointing home loss on Sunday and injuries continued to mount.

All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett told reporters he would undergo an MRI on both feet following Cleveland's 21-15 defeat to the New York Giants. Garrett said the foot pain he has been dealing with has worsened, leading to other issues.

"It's more than just the foot," Garrett said via Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com. "It's multiple things going on. If I think the foot's feeling good or feeling better, it's one thing or another. Nothing's sitting right because nothing has time to heal because I'm leaning on something else and I'm compensating here to make something hurt there. It's just been – like I said, a cycle."

Garrett, who had a season-low one tackle and no sacks against the Giants, said he would continue playing through pain unless the MRI revealed something he's not aware of.

"Get the results and move from there," Garrett said. "At this point, I'm going to continue to move as I have and look forward to playing the next game until someone tells me otherwise."

In addition to Garrett's woes, Cleveland's offensive line has been hit hard by injuries and surrendered eight sacks to the Giants. Left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. (knee) and right tackle James Hudson III (shoulder) were both injured against New York, and right guard Wyatt Teller (knee) didn't play.

All three offensive linemen were scheduled for MRIs, according to Head Coach Kevin Stefanski, but Deshaun Watson has already been sacked 16 times, more than any quarterback in the NFL.

The Browns visit the Las Vegas Raiders (1-2) in Week 4.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Justin Fields Plays His Best Game Making Third Straight Start

The Steelers are rolling with Justin Fields as their starting quarterback, and his confidence appears to be growing.

Fields rushed for one touchdown and threw for another during Pittsburgh's 20-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers (2-1). The Steelers are 3-0 for the first time since 2020 and Fields was 25-of-32 for a season-high 245 yards passing on Sunday.

Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson (calf) missed his third straight game, but the Steelers are flourishing so far with Fields. After struggling with a 10-28 record over three seasons as the Chicago Bears' starting quarterback, Fields has found a winning formula and said he hasn't worried about proving critics wrong.

"I'm moreso into proving myself right," Fields said via Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com. "I know what kind of player I am. I haven't changed my whole life, so at the end of the day, my teammates help me be great. Shout out to them, shout out to our defense, shout out to everybody else on the offense for pushing me each and every day at practice. I'm definitely glad and just feeling good to be in this position, to be honest with you."

The Steelers scored multiple touchdowns for the first time in 2024 and their defense, which ranks No. 1 in the NFL (8.7 points per game) through three weeks, continued to dominate with five sacks. Former Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins entered the game leading the league in rushing for the Chargers but was held to 44 yards on 15 carries.

Pittsburgh will visit the Indianapolis Colts (1-2) in Week 4.

Cincinnati Bengals: Tee Higgins Plans to Return From Hamstring Injury on Monday Night

The Bengals are 0-2 for the third straight season but look forward to having wide receiver Tee Higgins back for Monday night's game against the Washington Commanders.

Higgins missed the first two games with a hamstring injury, but Head Coach Zac Taylor confirmed after Saturday's practice that he expects Higgins to be in the lineup. Having Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase playing will give Joe Burrow his top two targets for the first time this season.

"Having a full offense back as one whole unit, finally, I think that would be good for us," Chase said via Ben Baby of ESPN.com.

Higgins is playing under the franchise tag while Chase is seeking a long-term contract extension. Instead of worrying about the future, Higgins said he's focusing on the present.

"I've just got to go out and be me and play my game, and the rest will take care of itself," Higgins said.
