Ravens safety Tony Jefferson (ankle) is active Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after missing the past two games.

Jefferson injured his ankle Nov. 25 against the Oakland Raiders, but he practiced on a limited basis Thursday and Friday and was deemed healthy enough to play. Jefferson has only missed three games in his six NFL seasons. Second-year safety Chuck Clark had started two games in place of Jefferson, who is second on the team in tackles (61) behind inside linebacker C.J. Mosley.

Running back Ty Montgomery is inactive, meaning the Ravens will dress just three running backs – Gus Edwards, Kenneth Dixon and Javorius Allen. Edwards and Dixon handled most of the carries last weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs, with Dixon (59 yards, eight carries) having his best game of the season. Montgomery has yet to find a consistent role in the offense after being acquired in a midseason trade with the Green Bay Packers.

Guard Alex Lewis (shoulder) is out and will miss his second straight game, meaning James Hurst will start his second straight game at left guard. Hurst played well starting at left guard last week, and should be better as he gets back up to speed after missing six games with a back injury.

Hurst, who was the starting left guard in 2017, started the first six games at right tackle this season before injuring his back. Orlando Brown Jr. has started seven straight games at right tackle and he has won the starting job according to Head Coach John Harbaugh.

Cornerback Marlon Humphrey (groin) will play after being listed as questionable. Humphrey has been held out of practice for much of the past two weeks as he tries to rehab the injury, but it's not keeping him from playing in games.

Also inactive for the Ravens are quarterback Robert Griffin III, wide receiver Jordan Lasley, fullback/defensive lineman Patrick Ricard, defensive lineman Zach Sieler and outside linebacker Tim Williams.

Quarterback Joe Flacco will be Lamar Jackson's backup, the first time in his career that Flacco's dressed but not started.

For Tampa Bay, wide receiver DeSean Jackson (thumb) and starting safety Justin Evans (toe) were ruled out Friday. Joining them on the Buccaneers' inactive list are quarterback Ryan Griffin, tight end Tanner Hudson, defensive tackle Rakeem Nunez-Roches, cornerback David Rivers and linebacker Adarius Taylor.
